If you’re a Loretta Lynn fan, it’s a must.
But,I grew up about 2 miles from her house so seeing it is no big deal for me. Once a year you’d see the same long black car driving toward that area and you’d know she was back. It’s probably because I grew up there,but I’ve heard so many L.L. stories I grew weary of hearing her mentioned (my aunt used to walk to school with her, etc etc). There’s not much else to the town though. It’s gone downhill in the past 5 or 10 years. The Van Lear Historical Society (across from the post office you’ll pass on your way) is a neat place to go if they’re open and you’ve got the time.
