I am from the U.S. and didn’t find UK (London, specifically) all that different from New York, Chicago, etc. We went on the bus tour, boat tour and hot the pavement on foot. I don’t think I will visit again any time soon, but I think it’s worth it if you can get out to the more rural places and spend time with the locals and really see life on a daily basis instead of the touristy spots.
over 6 years agoI met the love of my life here AND it was my first glimpse into life in the country where I was born — I was raised in the U.S. and had not been back for 30 years! It was just like I had imagined. Beautiful, friendly, bustling, and I felt more at home here than in the U.S. I have visited several times since then and enjoy it even more with each trip and the more I have seen. Hoping to expand my experience to other parts, like my home state of Rajasthan, Goa and my husband’s home state of U.P.
