Too many cars....
I really wanted to love Stone Henge, but there’s just too many people and car there… It’ll be great once Englih Heritage rebuild it all in a few years… the plans look great.

over 6 years agoThe widely acknowledged “Dracula’s Castle” is Bran Castle near Brasov in Transylvania – NOT the one shown in the photo on this site, which shows the clock tower in Sighisoara, where Vlad Tepes (Count Dracula) was born. Bran Castle’s worth a visit to say you’ve been, but it’s not very atmopheric and certainly nothing creepy or horror-movie-esque about it. Much better for this is Rasnov castle down the road, or the palace in Sinia, which is between Brasov and Budapest….
over 6 years agoWent through the region on my backpacking trip last summer, absolutely stunning landscape, gorgeous people and genuine hospitality. Also managed to get some naked mountaineering done – what else could you ask for?
Also ate dinner in the house where Count Dracula (Vlad Tepes) was born….
