New York City, New York State

First Time!

I just returned from my first trip to NYC. I went with my girl scout trip for about a week. We saw so much and slept so little. We stayed in a youth hostel. We saw the U.N., the Met, NYU (my first college tour!), the Museum of Natural History, Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, MoMA, NBC Studios, Greenwich Village, and a helluva lot more. I love New York City, it’s one of the most amazing places on the planet. It was an incredible week, and I can’t wait to go back!

Tennessee, United States

Well...

I live here! There’s a beautiful national park over in the east, but here in West Tennessee, your main attraction is Memphis and the “rivah.” Go to Memphis, but stay away from Graceland.

Rennes-le-Château, Languedoc-Roussillon

Untitled

While staying in Cascastel, my aunt, cousins, other family, and myself took a side trip to Rennes-le-Chateau. The drive was long, but well worth it. It’s a rather quiet place; we didn’t see many people. We walked through the village and through the church. All in all, it was an eerie site. Inside the Chruch of Mary Magdeline is a statue of the devil holding several angels above his head that was particularly… interesting.

I was the only one who went through the museum. Everything was either in French or English and histories of the area were given.

I enjoyed the trip, but I did find the place unsettling. A must see if you’re in the area, though.
