My heart remains

I lived for 2 1/2 years in Exmouth, Western Australia from 5-7 years old—my dad was stationed here at the US Naval base. I started school here and remember this as the happiest time of my life—no TV, no phone—lots of outdoor play with my friends, dinner parties that my parents gave—authentic experiences of people connecting. Lots of different cultures interacting in this very small town, and a wonderful school. I don’t think I ever left.

If you visit South Bend, you need to check out the nationally ranked public library at 304 S. Main St. This is the Main Library—there are also 8 other great branch libraries around the South Bend area. Great collections, helpful staff and a beautiful environment make this a stellar public library experience.
