As a Londoner myself I can safely say this city is worth a visit. I absolutely adore the place and have lived here my entire life. I can’t imagine living anywhere else, yet I was sitting here a few minutes ago, wondering why so many people want to visit here. I guess I find it difficult to understand because what I see as the tourist-y aspects of London aren’t the things that I love about it and aren’t the things that appeal to me. There’s so much more to London than going on an open top tour bus and seeing Buckingham Palace, yet it takes years to find the things which are so much more special. Walking round London daily I still find secret, hidden treasures, beautiful spots where I can just sit and be, and that’s why I love London. If you come here, try and do something different and experience other things, away from the mainstream tourist attractions.
