Israel

I'd like to spend quite a bit of time

in Israel. At least a month. I want to visit all the old sites and excavation areas and see where dead sea scrolls were found. I would love to visit the museums, as well as walk through the footsteps of Jesus. I think it would be a very spiritual experience.

Egypt

(in Africa)
I'd like to spend quite a bit of time

are big on my list to see here. Of course the obligatory Pyramids, Sphinx et al. Oh and I can’t forget the valley of the kings either, what a fascinating place! Egyptology really intrigues me because of how long their historical writings date back. The pyramids fascinate me because of how accurate and precise these ‘primitive’ people were able to construct them, and how they yet continue to baffle our most estute scientists today. Very cool. I would love to visit the headwaters of the Nile as well.

Washington, D.C.

Worth visiting!

The Smithsonian Institution is a wonderful place to visit.

I’m a huge history buff, and DC is great to visit because of the Smithsonian Institution – I spent 3 days going through only some of the entire buildings dedicated to the preservation of history and historical items. Most amazing, and well worth it. I’m due a trip back there!

that wends its way up and down the pyramid of Chichén Itza during the Autumnal equinox has always been something I’ve wanted to see. Is it as spectacular as it sounds? Even if it is not, I still have this burning desire to go there.

Machu Picchu

I have always loved

the study of civilizations, especially when there is something mysterious or extremely ancient about them. I have been enamoured with the idea of visiting Machu Picchu, as well as Chichén Itza in Yucatan, the Mayan ruins have been a fav of mine for just as long. One of these days I’ll make the trip.

Hawai'i

Worth visiting!

It Was The Big Island

I went to. I was able to spend 15 days there and it was an excellent experience. I spent most of my time in the Kona area at a place called the Pacific and Asian University. All in all it was a great time, and I made some great friends, and saw some amazing scenery. They have mongoose’s (mongeese?) there, which surprised me. I saw one loping accross the road walking back to my hotel one night. Interesting little critters.

I would love to go back one day, but I don’t like the big cities, and all, so I like the quieter more serene areas of Hawaii.

Antioch

Not worth visiting!

It was home for nearly 8 years.

That’s about as exciting as it gets! I have many good memories growing up there, which make it worth visiting on a personal level, but there is nothing there to really warrant a cold visit.

Edmonton

(in Canada > Alberta)

Worth visiting!

I've been here for over 10 years

Edmonton (area) is truly home. Now. I was in Calgary for 8 years prior, but Edmonton has a very different atmosphere – a more homey feel to it. There is a lot to do, and in the summer there are enough festivals to grab anyone’s fancy. This year we had the Grand Prix at the Municipal Airport – a world class event that had everyone raving. The people are friendly, and the city is big enough to cater to most tastes.
