Went here in September with 3 girlfriends and had the time of our lives. We stayed on a ranch with the most fantastic horses and riding. They were very accommodating with regards to the type of riding – which in our case was very fast and very furious! They called us mad, but seemed to really enjoy the challenge and test us, we took everything they threw at us!
Tombstone was interesting, if a little bit of a let down in terms that the wooden walkways were all there but unfortunately a tarmac road runs down the middle but there are some really interesting and macabre things to see. The Bird Cage Theatre, where you get to touch Wyatt Earp’s gaming table and the stories attached was fascinating. The OK Corral, and you can have lunch whilst watching a gunfight – bizzarre, but fun. Boot Hill Cemetry didn’t have the names I expected, but very interesting all the same.
In September it was hot, but tolerable (and I am really fair skinned), the people are fantastic, so hospitable and just found the whole experience awe inspiring.
We are going back next May – can’t flippin wait!!
