Sunset Beach

Worth visiting!

Untitled

It was my grandmother’s favorite beach, so I guess I’m a little partial. But it’s so nice and secluded…

Newcastle

Worth visiting!

Untitled

Most people go to Newcastle to party. There are tons of bars and clubs, etc. I went on a missions trip, so I saw a completely different side of the city. That aside, Newcastle is a fascinating place. Good shopping, friendly people (from who I talked to), beautiful buildings, and great history. Definitely must go down by the river, especially at night, and see the bridges all lit up.

United Kingdom

(in Europe)

This will be accomplished in August, though I will probably leave the UK on my list and return someday with my sweetie.

Charlotte

Worth visiting!

Untitled

Lived the first 14 years of my life in Charlotte. They’ve really fixed it up lately. It’s turning into a very classy city. Lots to do.

Raleigh

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I live here. Or near here anyway…in the suburbs. Cool enough place. Not much of a vacation spot, but a nice place to live.

Savannah

Worth visiting!

Love it!

Hands down, one of the coolest cities I have ever visited.

Myrtle Beach

Worth visiting!

split decision

Debated whether or not to recommend this place. I’ve been to Myrtle Beach every summer of my life with my family, and I love it because of that, but I think it’s become way too developed…tourist trappy, if you will. There are still a few great, relatively untouched places to visit. Happy to give recommendations…

The Laughing Seed

Worth visiting!

GREAT vegetarian restaurant in Asheville. I go there every time I’m in town.

North Carolina

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I’ve lived in NC almost all of my life, and I love this state. For some reason a lot of people who move here from, say, California don’t see things my way, but I think they’re crazy.
