I lived in Texas for a year and a half and had my first In-n-Out a couple weeks ago back in Cali. This may sound weird but it was definatly refreshing. I think it’s the fresh vegetables they use in the burgers or something. Now that I wrote this entry, I want to have one today.

Unless you like Texas Tech, bordem, or dirt, it’s not the most stimulating place to visit. Trust me, I live here. The only thing worth while is the cheap alcohol and the potential of a large tornado sucking me up and dropping me somewhere more exciting.

Okay, maybe you just want to get a glimpse of where the Beatles are from but Liverpool is kind of gross. I personally prefer Manchester (a short trainride away). The buses wouldn’t even stop for us. We had the crappiest chinese food and we had to leave when it started getting dark to avoid any “street scouse”. You can find the same shops in Liverpool in any large English city, so really, there isn’t a good reason to visit here.

It was satisfying to see Abbey Road considering I’m a huge Beatles fan, but I couldn’t get past the image of people who were almost being hit by cars trying to get a pic crossing it. I was sort of disappointed by all the graffiti of “fans” trying to make their imprint on history. I always wondered what was down the other side of the road that wasn’t in the picture and I got to see.

I always see pictures of people sitting and having a picnic, families playing sports,and enjoying a relaxing day. It looks like Utopia.

This is actually a place that I’ve been to in the past but it has been so long. My dad lived here as a child and tells me these great stories of his childhood. It’s a bit more country than most of the popular places around the Big Island.

It may seem a bit goth when you first see Galway but there are many restaurants and shops to visit. We stayed in a bed and breakfast (can’t remember the name) and it was sooo worth it. The cool thing about b and b’s are that they are less expensive than hotels and the accomodations make you feel like you are in your very own expensive Irish house. I also recommend taking the drive to Connemarra, it’s a lovely coastal scenic route.

This was a place my parents would take me as a child. I’ve had this sudden urge to want to go back again. I also love Balboa Park, all those museums, and strangely enough, the Spreckles Pipe Organ. There is a lot of culture going on around here.

I have to go to Decatur cuz my best friend lives there. Nice little city.

My husband and I made a trip to San Francisco and thought it a good idea to drive the 1 back to LA. I’m sure glad we did and I was impressed with Morro Bay. It is unlike any other coastal town in Cali.
