This is one of the most comfortable libraries I have been in Canada. Quiet, great reads, free internet on main floor, and cafes etc in lobby. Lots of information on what is happening in Vancouver from events to courses.

Ucluelet (Ukee for short) is worth a visit – the Wild Pacific trail is spectacular. The ‘new’ linear section is uncrowded even in the summer – I used to come here when I worked in Tofino to ‘get away”. The boat Lady Rose up to Port Alberni is well worth the money (25-30). Ukee has a much more “real” feel than Tofino at the other end of the penisula.

Ainsworth is definately worth a visit if you are in Kootenays or Nelson. The drive up is spectacular. Try to go in off hours, pool is relaxing with great view of lake and mountains. The inner cave is hot in both ways – a dark dreamy steamy environment when kids are not playing “ghost”. The Woodbury Creek Campground (mainly RV)about 4-5 km north has a few great tent sights by the lake and creek.
