Texas is awesome! But then again I was born and raised here so I’m a little biased. Texas, is of course, very very big. We’re talking 267,000 square miles—the size of New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Illinois combined. Heck, 40 of our counties alone are bigger than Rhode Island. This means you really need to visit different portions of the state to get a good feel for it. (In other words, a layover at an airport in Texas won’t paint you an accurate picture of the entire state.) Texas is composed of flat plains, desert, canyons, rolling hills, thick forests, and 624 miles of coastland. Give it a chance! I’m sure you’ll find something you like here. : )
