Palmer

Not worth visiting!

A review of this place

Propbably a nice place to live and raise children but not to visit. There is absolutely nothing to do in Palmer as a tourist. Ride a horse maybe, see a moose. That’s all.

Not a tourist destination.

Note
Half of the pictures on this page are not of Palmer. Palmer is not tropical, not largely populated, and nothing more than a pitstop town on the highway.

Ate at my first Cracker Barrel here. Now, I’m in love with them.

Other than that, the place is nothing special.

Cute tourist town. Golf Carts are always avaliable.

“Don’t give up the ship” is all over the place.

Kelleys Island

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Gorgeous

Kelley’s island is a short boat ride from Sandusky. From the island you can see the distant rides of Cedar Point.

The island itself is gorgeous. You can rent golf carts and go all over or ride your bike around. Many smalltourist shops are there to browse. And it has a gorgeous beach.

I’d love to buy a house here, it’s unbelievable.

A tip I have about this place

Best time to go is the afternoon on a Wednesday and Thursday. These days are almost completely dead. You can ride almost every ride in the park with very little wait. We went on July 1st and had time to ride everything (some more than once), eat, and see fireworks.

Also,wearclothing that dries easily.

The last time I went to this place

I have some family that lives here. They love it and it seems like a quite nice little town. Bad chinese food though.

A very short drive from Kings Island which is wonderful.

Englewood

Not worth visiting!

A review of this place: Don't bother.

It has been about 4 years since I was in Florida and I will never go back. From what I saw of Englewood and most of Florida, it’s dirty and gross. I went many times as a kid and never enjoyed myself. It’s an oldfolks town.

The only cool thing was that we had was a canal or something behind my grandparents house. We could always go back and see wildlife.

Dawson Creek

The first time I went to this place

Uh all I remember about Dawson’s Creek was how very flat it is compared to the earlier bit of the Alaska Highway. Also, some roadsigns confused me and a nice localman helped me.

Why I recommend this place to visitors

I’ve lived here my whole life and it’s amazing here. I’ve gone to school here and this city has shaped me. Anchorage has it’s own culture and is busting with life.

It’s different from many other large cities because it has a small town feel. People smile and the local news actually talks about stupid local things like little Johnny’s first salmon during ice fishing season.

It’s a beautiful community. I’d recommend it to anyone.

A review of this place

We drove the Alaska Highway all the way through the Yukon. There was a great restruant on Kluane in a town I think was called Distruction Bay. It was a tiny Cafe with some gas pumps and showers. Best burgers I have ever had, I wish I could remember more about it specifically but I remember the great people that worked there. Such a welcoming place.

The area is gorgeous and hot during the summer.

I found it surprising though that Kluane isn’t more used. There weren’t any boats or swimmers or beach goers anywhere to be seen. I would think that with such a lovely lake someone would be in it.
