From accross the globe two Perth people are single because of me.

About 8 years ago I spent some considerable time chatting on Yahoo! I made some friends around the world. One of them was a unhappily married lady in Perth. We chatted daily for a couple of months. She would tell me how miserable she was, mostly because her husband was abusive. I listened and sympathized the best I could. The last time I chatted with her she told me she was moving across the country and leaving her husband (and computer behind). She was just going to leave with a few basic things while he was at work. She gave me full credit for giving her the strength to do that. I was amazed because I didn’t think I had done much, and a little guilty because I’m sure there was two sides to the story.

Anyway the lady from Perth left a mark on me. I would like to see the city and who knows maybe bump into the guy she left behind, and hear his side of the story. Highly improbable but still would be cool.

Olympus Mons, Mars

The biggest mountain we know of.

Probably never get there, given that it is on Mars. Three times as tall as Mount Everest. I can feel the kink in my neck just thinking about it.
