Medina

Worth visiting!

Peace ..

During the last Omra I visited Medina were the prophet Mohammed – peace be upon him – is buried. There stands his mosque – one of the main three mosques in the world in addition to Kaaba in Mecca and AlAqsa in AlQods (Jerusalem).

This is really the most peacfull place in the world.

Falling in love with Kaaba!

I was able to do Omra alhamdulilah during July. This time I took my wife and children with me. It was the first time for the kids.

It’s a trip full of emotions. In this trip I recalled the prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) the grand father of Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed – peace be upon all of them. The life events and deeds of Abraham and his family (his wives and sons) is a cornerstone in the Omra and Haj ceremonies.

I wish I can keep going to Omra every year!

United Kingdom

The first time I went to this place

That was two months ago. And it was wonderful. I had to arrange my calendar to have business meetings at morning time and play tourist after that.

London is pleasing and contains a lot to see. I was living in Marble Arch and managed to have walk trips around many of downtime areas around, starting with Oxford and ending at Strand. I visited many of the city attractions like: the British museum, Madame Touso, Tower of London, Tower bridge, London bridge, Hyde park, Big Ben, Westminster palace, Birmingham palace, and so many other places. And I wished to see some other places. Hopefully will do next time!

After my business is done, I took a couple of days in the weekend around the beautiful southern countryside where I visited Portsmouth and Petersfield.

Mecca

Worth visiting!

Today was the great day of Hajj

Millions of Muslims are in Mecca today for the Hajj. Who else could join these hearts on one place and for one purpose other than Allah?

May Allah bless you all and make your “43things” true! :-)

Heaven

An Islamic perspective ..

In fact, the term ‘Heaven’ has a shared meaning in Islam and all the other revealed religions. Primarily, it refers to that beautiful abode where, those who believe in only God, humble themselves to worship Him, do the good and avoid the evil, are promised to go after the end of this worldly life. In this sense, it is the synonym of the “Gardens of Paradise”, which is the equivalent of the Arabic word: Jannah. Those blessed dwellers will live there in an everlasting life.

This term, in Christian theology, may also mean a name of God the All Mighty. Again, in the sufist (mystic) tradition of both religions, this term means an ecstatic state of communion with God.

Thus, it is obvious that all the connotations of this word are spiritual and highly exalted, above the human level of worldly experience. It is a transcendental space that the believers, though never experienced, yet are able to conceive through the detailed description that God has supplied them with. This is in order to arouse their incitement and longing for it. It is difficult to quote the many verses in Quran that describe Heaven, as these are so many!

It might be sufficient to know that every pleasure in that Heaven is unparalleled to that in the worldly life. It is as the prophet of Islam, Muhammad (peace be upon him), described to enclose:
“What no eye has ever seen and no ear has never heard and no human heart has ever perceived.”

Its food, houses, rivers, pleasures… everything is beyond imagination! And because the believer is always attached to the spiritual more than the sensual, even in Heaven, God has made the ultimate ecstasy for the believers there, is to look at His Holy Countenance. Such is a blessing, from which believers never get bored or even get accustomed to, despite familiarity.
