Ten Years Ago

I was here about ten years ago, when I was in the 9th grade.

On one hand, the city absolutely takes your breath away…as I said, I was too young to truly appreciate the culture, architecture, etc…but even I gasped when I actually saw the Eiffel Tower in person.

But…

It’s also possibly the dirtiest city I’ve ever been to. Everybody walks their dogs in the streets and nobody picks up after them…disgusting.

Hopefully that’s changed in the past ten years…

I live here

As an active duty Air Force member, I’m currently stationed here…and it’s the most beautiful place on Earth. And I’ve seen enough of the Earth to make that claim. Pictures do not do this place justice.

That said…there’s not a lot to “do”. The beauty is enough for me…I couldn’t be happier. But if you’re looking for nightclubs and malls and a McDonalds, this is NOT the place for you. It’s very laid back, very calm, and very undeveloped.

But I couldn’t be happier here!
