You must visit the Grandhotel and have coffee on the terrace over looking the sea, the price is only 1 or 2 euros more thn in a normal cafe but the view and the hotel it’s self amazing. There is a nice Market too on a Sunday selling fresh produce, seafood is a very cheap, home made, pickles were also an amazing find here. Cabourg does represent france turn of the centery in its building style.

Kyoto was the most amaing place, every corner seemed to have a temple the kinkauji ( golden Temple) is certainly worth a visit as is Kiyomizudera it has a large terrace and great views over the city it also contains what is reputed to be a stream of live, drinking from the water is supossed to give you a longer life. ( i’m hoping ot make it to wel over 100 then)alos well worth a visit is a tourist district just on the outskirts of the city called arashiyama, it has a famous bridge
while there take the sagano trian that winds it way in open cars (though Id not like to be in one if it rained) up the mountain you can combine this with a trip back down by boat very jolly and recommend.
