Besides being beautiful (although I personally could not live here I like green grass); there are an infinite number of excellent gourmet restaurants here. You just need to watch out for all the bleached blond hair that floats through the restaurants.

After climbing all the stairs, you need, what else? Food. I’d recommend finding a little restaurant across the way to serve you up some clams over pasta, we ate steamed clams several places in Paris and they were always great. Have I ever eaten clams at home? NO – but they looked and yes, unbelievably, smelled great there. After you have revived, wander up the side streets, we found a great fabric market where we purchased gorgeous silk designed material that I am certain I would find nowhere in the states.

Go to the Gelato stand outside of the Italian restaurant in Caesar’s Palace. They have the best pistachio gelato ever. Trust me, I try pistachio gelato everywhere I go, including Italy, and this one was The One to die for.

There was a great little art fair, with lots of great displays, enjoyed wandering through. Loved walking the beaches

My husband and I have accidentally found a “chinatown” everywhere we go -so now it’s now become kinda become our mission, if we go to a new town, we can’t leave until we find Chinatown.

Lots to do Downtown, but I liked LaJolla (a bit North) better.

I did not know how much I would love this museum, I thought it was better than the Louvre! I also did not realize how much I loved seeing art (previously viewed in books)in person and how it would move me. So much Impressionist Works – It was amazing.

We have gone the last few years and will be going again in Spring 2007. We travel with a group of people and they possibly like it more than I do, but it is still has great beaches, different shops – more European. (not authentic Mexican shops – you need to go to Puerto Vallarta for great Mexican Artisan shopping). It is very beautiful in Playa though.
