well its my homeland so obviously im emotionally ‘attached’ to cyprus. it has inconveniences galore—socially, politically(the island’s capital is one of the 2 in the world that are divided, much to our chagrin), economically(rather expensive) and more. BUT the crime late is low, transportation is easy, cuisine is not bad. from a tourist’s point of view..well, its a mediterranean country and that in itself implies sunny beaches, sunny skies, sunny, sunny, sunny!the english seem to favour it! a lot of good clubs, taverns,friendly people, few environmental attractions,and some good hotels.the simpler, ‘peasant’ version of greece.

i mostly want to go to see if its as expensive as many people say and to practice my french of course..

I mostly want to go becuase i have pen-pals (or rather, MSNMessenger-pals!)there. it’d be great to visit their homeland, their homes, and check out the lads there! ;p

Its my father’s homeland…its absolutely beautiful, natural sights are in abundance. just be sure you pick the right hotels,some of the best hotels ive been to are in vietnam …unless you want to rough it and live the deprived life that most vietnamese people live!
