A review of this place: Alaska - A secret world? — 1 year ago
I never imagined it could be so great, but I’ve also heard from people that I was lucky on my trip. It was nearly perfect weather the whole time, and I could see Mt McKinley (Denali) in full view two days in a row! I can’t recommend visiting Alaska enough. I was surprised at how similar it was to Maine (where I am now).It shouldn’t be too shocking since Maine was once covered in glaciers, and that’s why we have a very rocky coastline and so many islands. They have moose, we have moose, they have fiddleheads, we have fiddleheads. The major differences are the sun positions, northern lights, they still have glaciers, they have DRY weather (lucky them), and they have way more land and wildlife.
I visited Anchorage, Denali, Fairbanks, North Pole, Chena Hot Springs, Girdwood, Cooper Landing, Seward, and Homer. The trip took 13 days, including traveling to and from..
I’ll be trying to post a photo journal soon here
