I lived here for three years (when I was in the Air Force). With the exception of the immediate downtown area, which is slowly revitalizing, there’s very little cultural activity in Augusta—which is sad, since real estate is cheap and the place is beautiful (the humidity, of course, is stifling).

Its greatest asset could be the fact that Savannah and Charleston are an easy drive away.
