Tomo No Ura

tomo no ura is a good place to go if you find yourself in fukuyama for some reason or another. fukuyama isn’t exactly a great tourist spot, but it’s a pretty big city in between okayama and hiroshima on the sanyo shinkansen line. tomo no ura is a small fishing port about 30 minutes south of fukuyama by bus… lots of temples and shrines, a ferry out to the island, sea bream netting demonstrations in may, and lots of cute roads to wander around and get lost in.
