When I went here it was with a group of people, and it was in conjunction with people from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, and it was so moving. You basically climb up a hill to the grave site/church. We were told no photos/movies since it’s disrespectful to the dead, and I didn’t mind not taking anything of that nature. When you hear the story on TV or in a book, but its another to hear it from an actual Indian, with ancestor’s buried there. I couldn’t help but cry when thinking about all the innocent people who died there. Quite a moving place, if you want to really be able to touch and feel a part of American History go here.
