I heard a rumor over the weekend that my grand-uncle was down in Tucson for a few days. I missed another opportunity to go! Granted, I’m 3,000 miles away in NYC for the school year, but I still could’ve charged a roundtrip flight to Tucson on my credit card and taken up the chance to see my grandma’s (and his) hometown from their personal perspective and meet a few relatives who live down there. Next time…!

A question about this place:
Would you drive to Tucson or fly/take train and rent a car? I live in San Francisco, so it's a bit of a drive, but my mom has done it before (with complaints). What would you recommend?  — 2 years ago

My grandma hails from here. There’s so much I want to see, but it’s nothing touristy. Just want to experience my grandma’s hometown and meet some relatives in the area.
