a small town in the middle of nowhere — 2 years ago
this is where my parents have recently moved. there’s a bit of california history to be learned in the area. but more than anything – the scenery and nature are quite nice. it’s on the delta where the Sacramento river meets the bay… so there is endless bird watching. and, apparently, fishing is the thing there. the night sky is gorgeous. the restaurants serve overpriced and bland food. really, truly bad food. but people are friendly and it has all of those small town quirks – everyone knows everyone’s business, and the gift shop is also the flower shop and the dry cleaners…
