Iceland

OK, I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is I joined a travel club, and they are having a trip there this summer. The bad news is I have a trip for work at the same time, so I cant go. I did get a tip though: if I stay in hostels, I can cut down the cost of a trip to Iceland significantly.

OK, so they had the travel expo again last weekend, and I talked to the Iceland people. I had planned to go in the fall and to drive the ring road. They said thats a good time to go and that this would be doable. They also said I could probably take the westernmost north-south road across the middle of the island in just a regular car. So as far as Im concerned, that’s the plan. I still need to find someone to go with though. I have some friends who are interested, but I kind of doubt they are serious about going.
