Been many times for work — 2 years ago
The first time I visited Detroit I was appalled by the urban blight. It probably didn’t help that the attorney I caught rides with hates the city and provided a running negative commentary about the city, especially around downtown.
Since then, I have had a chance to see more of the positives in the city. Don’t get me wrong, I would never want to live here, but I do like to visit.
Besides, how could I hate a city with a nickname of Hockeytown, even if self-proclaimed?
