There is not much between Perth and Broome to fly would be better, but if going from Darwin then all thumbs up for the drive get plenty of local road conditions , especially in the wet season.
Winjana Gorge is well worth going to see. If you like “Salvador Dali” paintings, you’ll love the scenery.
