A tip I have about this place — 2 years ago
DO check your bag constantly in big cities, especially in Barcelona trains and metro… My friend’s credit cards got stolen as soon as we stepped in the Barcelona city train.
If you are staying at hostels, the Barcelona red light district is cheap but very noisy at night, not pleasant at all in fact… Unless you have a room without windows and no sleeping pills, watch out.
In general I found Spain hostels pretty good and cheap, the rooms were cleaned every day and beds were changed aswell.
