The people—that’s why Guam is terrific.
An example: We go to a friend’s fiesta on the island. OK, we find the house, all lit up and crowded. Don’t see our friend, but people are friendly. Eat, eat, they say. Drink, drink, they say. OK, so we do. An hour later, still no sign of our friend. So we ask: Hey, where’s Jose? They say: Oh, Jose doesn’t live here. He lives down the street. Turns out we were at the wrong fiesta. No worries, the hosts say. They urge us to stay. Eat, eat, they say. Drink, drink, they say.
That’s how Guam is. That’s why you should go. Hafa adai!
