The most beautiful town in taipei suburban area — 3 years ago
i love it, cos i spent almost 30 years here
this place…hum….hard to describe
it has many artists living here, it has good transportation system(mrt), universities, cafes, arts, old houses, antiques shop, food, local specialties, souvenir shops all over
there were occupied by many countries before, english, spanish, dutch, french….cos it was the major harbour of northern Taiwan,it was a little fishing town with beautiful sunset & historical sites, now it’s popular for half day visitors
now is the most frequent weekend getaway place for taipei city people during weekend, if you were been to florence or any famous touristing city before, you will know Tamsui is just the same as one of thempacked
it’s always over-crowded, please don’t come here during weekend, otherwise i’ll have to move to Beitou or other countryside….
have a good trip in tamsui, remember to pick one good café and sit down watching sun going down to the horizon, ciao
it’s the cafe i go a lot—Café: La vie rêvée des anges (The dream life of the angels café)
visit my flickr as follows

by the way, tamsui has an area called “little hills”—in mandarin is “shiao ping ding”, if tamsui is la, then the place is like “beverly hills”, so beautiful, it’s in between Beitou & tamsui…it has a golf course there called “Guo Hua”, very nice residence area
can see the whole tamsui & bali area…
