Egypt

wow. i can’t believe i can say this now, but i got back two weeks ago. so fascinating. so unreal. i still can’t believe i saw everything i did. the tombs. abu simbel. the pyramids. even WALKED inside the first pyramid! (only 150 a day allowed!) rode a camel. air balloon ride over luxor + valley of the kings. just. words can’t describe, really.

eeeeee! i think i might be going here in august or september. still saving, but i could pay for my flight right now, as well as have a few hundred left over. i’m hoping to do an air balloon flight over the pyramids if it all works out. this has been my DREAM since i was in the fourth grade, so, give or take, 15 years. i love the history that surrounds the country and i can’t wait to stand in front of the pyramids, in awe, i’m sure.

i remember in fourth grade, learning about ancient civilizations and egypt always interested me. i didn’t really pick back on it until my freshman year of college, when i took a course on greek, roman, and ancient egypt. LOVED it and now i have a huge interest in ancient egypt. if i could put up with all the schooling, i think my ultimate dream job would be an archeologist in egypt, discovering tombs & mummies.
