We visited many placec (mostly museums, ruins, and churches) from Pisa/Florence/Bologna south. It is a fantastic place, though the driving can be intimidating at times. Just…wow!

A question about this place:
Is it ok to sleep in the car at night? We do this in the U.S. on trips and have no probs. Does anyone have exp. w/trying? I can handle being run off but not arrested.

I will be going here this year, as well as Greece, next thing to do is to figure out what time to go. I have already been forewarned against going in August, but I do want to go when it’s nice and warm.
Why I want to go to this place — 2 years ago
Venice and Pompei are 2 things I really want to see. I’m also interested in the architecture and roman ruins.
