I love small countries  — 2 years ago

When I was in Montevideo (early Oct 2005), the city was celebrating the 75th anniversary of the First World Cup (of football (soccer) that is). In the lobby of the Radisson hotel, I met and chatted with former Uruguayan president Julio Maria Sanguinetti, who ousted the military regime in 1985.
The photo of Montevideo’s Palacio Salvo I uploaded was taken on the roof of the Radisson (sssh! don’t tell management I got there!)
