Elegant starlets sip drinks in the Taj Mahal hotel whilst young girls sell themselves (or are sold) from cages in the streets behind. If there is any city in the world where your life is defined by your birth it must be Mumbai, yet every year thousands of people (mostly poor) pour into this city of dreams in hope of a better life whilst the most famous exports from the city are the dreams of “Bollywood” giving the poor a glimpse of a life that they could never attain. A fascinating, infuriating city of contradictions.
