This is the only city where I have been terrified driving, they are maniacs. Istanbul, Cairo, Bombay, chaos on the road is one thing, I can duck and dive for road space with the best, but the suicide drivers of Iran, now they are frightening. Don’t take it that I didn’t like this beautiful country and it’s hospitable people I did, it’s just that having spent a couple of years driving trucks all over Europe I thought I could handle anything in the way of automobile athletics but I met my match in Tehran. I think a course in agressive road rage must be compulsory here to get a driving licence.
