Well, I found a tour that seems really good. It starts in China and goes into the Tibet region. We would be staying in Lhasa for five days to get used to the altitude, then traveling to some different monasteries and then on to Everest. I’m a bit nervous about it because it sounds like a lot of intense traveling, but this is really my dream trip right now. Hopefully it will come through!

A question about this place:
I would like to visit in summer 2006. Should I plan to go with a group, or try to make my own arrangements? If possible I would like to combine this trip with time in neighboring countries such as Nepal and Bhutan. Thanks!  — 2 years ago
