"Queen City" Renaissance  — 2 years ago

Okay, so this will all be subjective, of course. Plenty of people enjoy the nice, clean, conservative, homogonous, banking and corporate oriented churchy culture here. That’s great. People who are looking for those qualities have many opportunities to choose from here in Charlotte.

Now, if you’re looking for a diversity of artistic, creative, imaginitive, innovative opportunities, this might also be just the right place for you… at least in this respect: Seeds have been planted and they’re beginning to sprout. If you live in or are considering a move to Charlotte, you’ll have the opportunity to be a part of the beginnings of a “Queen City” Renaissance. Bring your passion and your creativity and your “weirdness” to Charlotte and help bring this city to life.

Consider visiting the following neighborhoods:

NoDa (North Davidson Arts District);
SouthEnd;
Plaza-Midwood.

Go to one of the NoDa or SouthEnd Gallery Crawls. Check out http://www.MakeCharlotteWeird.com and see what you could add to it. Be the change that Charlotte needs in order to continue to grow and develop.
