Face Masks — 1 year ago
I found out from the book Culture Code that the Japanese wear masks so often because they feel like a burden when they get other people sick and they feel it is a waste of time to be sick. I guess they feel that wearing a face mask can prevent the sickness from spreading, and it is a common courtesy. I also read from the travel guides blowing one’s nose in public is taboo.
