Greece

I think Mykonos was my favorite place we went to. We weren’t there long, just a few hours. But long enough to wind our way through the little streets and shops, and to see one amazing sunset! We got a bit tired of the ruins on the mainland. That, or we were just too hot! Of course they were having above-normal temps for June! We went to Rhodes and Patmos also. Everything was beautiful. The food was wonderful. I spoke some Greek, but everyone pretty much spoke English.

I’m currently reading North of Ithaka by Eleni Gage. It’s about a girl going back to her family’s homeland to rebuild the family home that was destroyed during wartime.

Can anyone recommend a good travel book on Greece? My mom and I will be taking a bus/cruise tour, but I want to learn some of the basic words and more about the country/food, etc! Thanks!

They actually called with a timeshare AFTER we’d booked our tour tickets. Oh well. The woman had told us it didn’t look good! Grrr! This will be better though. It would’ve been hard to see much stuck at one hotel the whole time.

We’re doing a bus tour/cruise in June! OMG! This should be fun! Better get my camera fixed! And stop spending so much money eating out here!
