A tip I have about this place  — 2 years ago

If you’re living cheap, consider going to The Sentient Bean, Cafe’ Galeria, or Metro Cafe’.

You can nurse your cup of whatever for as long as you like, and no one will bother you. You can catch up on the news at any of these places. The Sentient Bean is the best, for someone always leaves the New York Times there.

The Sentient Bean is not far from Kroger, where you can shop leisurely in the air conditioning, read magazines from the rack, and even sit outside on brick walls near the corner.

Discussion: Every journey starts with an idea, wherever you may be  — 2 years ago

You may or may not be from here, but you have a story. We all have one. Each one of us does; whether you are ready to tell yours is for you to know. Just know, you may not be so unique as you think, but still, each one of us has something to offer to the great human mosaic that wraps this earth.

Some suggested topics:

-With all the development on the coast, will there be any room for the working class or Lumpenprole to enjoy the amenities, such as the beaches, the cays, the islands?
-Are you “from here?” Tell us about your community! Are you a recent arrival, or a settled transplant? How has your transition been?
*-What is your vision for Georgia? How would you like your community to be? What changes would you promote? What do you fear? How can you or I make a difference?

The last time I went to this place  — 2 years ago

Was earlier, just a while ago, a few hours ago. Now it’s past midnight by 22 minutes, of course it’s yesterday I was there. But anyway, I drove in with my son, so we could get a print appraised, and also so I could sell some firewood, and just have fun.
At Galeria Expresso, I enjoyed an expresso and bakhlava’ while my son enjoyd hot choco n macadamia cookie. I introduced to him the lay-out of a chess board, and what letter group made the “ch” sound.

This is my home away from home  — 3 years ago

For the time being.

We actually live a couple of miles from the city, way back in the swamps and pine plantations. But for culture, entertainment, shopping, and sometimes work, here is where we go.

May I start out recommending the Telfair Art Museum, Kevin Barry’s Restaurant and Pub on River Street, Tybee Beach, Carabba’s Restaurant on Abercorn, Oglethorpe Mall, and the walking and horse-drawn cart tours of old Savannah?
