I grew up in Brooklyn and now
I am in Connecticut since 2001 and I would not move back because my children know CT as home but there is a pull back to Brooklyn and back to the familiar. When I go,
I see family and eat some of my favorite food and see some of my favorite places and then I am ready to come back home to what is now the new familiar for me. There is no place like Brooklyn though. I’m still trying to figure out what makes it so unique. Besides the memories of my life, there is more but I have to put my finger on it and define it for myself. There are so many stereo types about the place and some are accurate while some are conjured up in movies. Perhaps the only Brooklyn I will ever know or tell about is the one that I experienced from one small individuals, limited perceptions and recollections.
