Durango and Silverton Railroad

The trip between Durango and Silverton is extremely scenic, but it’s a longer trip than I anticipated. After riding up there for 3 1/2 hours, we only had a short amount of time to explore Silverton (which is fine because it’s a small little town, but it’s got loads of charm!), and then we were back on the train for 3 1/2 more hours. If you’re looking to maximize your time, I recommend you take the train one way and the bus the other way.
