So I went to Sydney.. — 2 years ago
... and now I’m DEAD tired but it was an awesome week, just hanging out with lucie again. Just that feeling of being with one of your best friends after a long time. And she has the most wonderful family, it was a great week. We hung out with her best friend Helen everyday, which worked really well cause the two of us got on so well as well! As if that ever actually happens when you mix your friends with other friends… But it’s true.
We spent all of Monday in the Rocks, at the German beer hall and in a pub with these crazy English people that Lucie hadn’t seen since she was a kid. I was shocked at the size of the Harbour Bridge, it looks so big and fake!! I felt like such a country bumpkin the whole time which is NOT a feeling I’m used to… Chuck me in any foreign city and I’ll be fine, but when it’s somewhere in my own country that I’m not used to..
We went to the beach as well, which was kinda shoddy compared to Queensland beaches. We win there , and in the weather as well. But we drove down to Dee Why which was really nice. Went up to the Blue Mountains as well, they’re stunning. It’s convinced me to take up bush walking (although we’ll wait and see how long that idea lasts).
And then going out… the uni bar :D Lucie suprised me by saying we were just dropping by to give something to a friend of hers, turns out that friend was SHAUN, and the something was ME! And we went to Minus 5 as well, which is in Circular Quay… its made out of ice. That was awesome, exxy cover charge ($30 for a half hour and cocktail) but so, sooo worth it. We got these kick ass big jackets and ugg boots and everything to wear. Then we went out down in Darling Harbour and finished up at the Three Wise Monkeys which was funny… running around the streets of Sydney in the wee hours of morning freeeeezing cause I was too lazy to take a jumper with me.
An awesome week, although a lot had to do with the company!!
Luce and Hel are gonna come visit in July, as is Dickie (hopefully!!!). We’re trying to get Shaun to come as well, so he might, and if he does, will probly bring his host sister. Should be another crazy week, but hey, that’s what I’m good for!!
