British Airways London Eye

The Eye is great. Well worth it. Check the dates if you go in the winter, they are closed for maintenance for about two weeks. I just made it, it opened again the last two days of my stay. I wish I could have gone the very first day, it really helped me to see the whole city and figure out where everything is.

I went to London this winter, the Eye just opened and I jumped on! Very cool, very smooth, graceful and high tech. It really helped me orient to the city. You can see everything very clearly and the little map you can get for 3 pound is well worth it. Even tho it was winter, the sun came out! Beautiful. TIP: your ticket is good all day, so you can go in the morning and then again in the evening.

I am going to London … but in the winter and the Eye will be closed for maintenance. I will just have to go back another time! I love the idea of being up high above everthing … I love the idea of going round and round … I love the idea of the slow round and round … the engineering, the ingenuity, the cheesy tourism, the “breathtaking views” and all that, it’s just too much, I have to go, I must do this.
