The Onion Is Hiring For A Special Street Team – July 20

Do you want to help The Onion on Thursday, July 20 and get paid for it? It is putting together an Onion street team of “Newsies” to hawk the Onion in the style of old-school newsboys and newsgirls.

Pay is $10/hour, plus lunch. You will be needed on Thursday, July 20 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. (approximately). You will also be needed for a brief (and paid) “orientation” meeting on Tuesday, July 18 at 6 p.m. at the Onion office. This is a great opportunity for any Onion fan looking to make a few extra bucks.

The Onion will provide the newsboy cap and the argyle socks. You will be responsible for completing the outfit by providing your own loose brown pants (or knickers), suspenders and/or vest, and a button-down shirt.

You will work in a team and hawk free copies of The Onion at a few high-foot-traffic locations in Manhattan during the early afternoon and evening rush hour.
