We took the train to La Spezia then took a smaller train with what seemed like everyone in in Italy to the farthest northern town of Monterosso. We had a picnic lunch on the beach there then alternately took the local train or walked between the remaining villages of Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarolo & Riomaggiore and ended up back at La Spezia. Amazing views of the sea and the terraced hills.
