News: Atlanta snow  — 1 year ago

I was just in Atlanta last week for the official first day of spring. As if on cue, the pollen covered the cars that day. Now, here I sit in New England, wondering if I’ll ever see green on the trees again or if I’ll ever be able to put my space heater away for good. I’m remembering last week of the short sleeves, the pear blossoms, the azaleas. Oh, and the Varsity hot dog, but that isn’t strictly a spring thing. Neither was eating Chick-Fil-A every day, but it sure was good!

The last time I went to this place  — 1 year ago

I left a snowstorm and landed in Atlanta to see white in the trees—but it was blossoms. Pear blossoms, dogwoods . . . the pink azaleas. Despite the fact that every Atlantan drives a yellow car this time of year, I still firmly believe there is no place more beautiful than Atlanta in the springtime. If you are lucky enough to go there, plan to be amazed. And don’t plan too much indoors. This is the best time to be in the city!
