Washington State

My fiance picked me up in Seattle and we rambled around for a week along the coast of Washington.

My FAVORITE and a MUST SEE for Washington is on San Juan Island. Friday Harbor is nice and pretty, but drive around (it’s easy, just grab a map from the ferry ticket booth). We saw a beautiful lighthouse.

Orcas Island was beautiful too, deserted and there were few restaurants open (it’s winter). One thing you wouldn’t want to miss on a right-before-Halloween trip is a trip to Orcas Pottery… we drove up the long, windy dirt road. Farther and farther into the darkened forested area (at 2 pm mind you!)... mossy covered fallen logs, thick thatches of ferns, dense trees… it was so dark and creepy, we decided NOT to get out of the car and high-tailed it back to the main road! LOL!

to be in Washington next week with my fiance. We have basically no plans for two days, then we are parting ways for bachelor and bachelorette parties (not ours, another couple’s). The next day is ours, then rehearsal and dinner. Then the wedding on Saturday. Then we’re on our own until we come home.

I don’t know what we’ll end up doing, and I don’t want to make plans. I’m sure we are going to have a great time. We always do! :)

I can’t wait to see him… he’s already been there for a few days and I miss him like crazy. I love him so much! :)
