1) Look to the west in late afternoon to see how this park got its name 2) This monument looks like Paris, but you're just at one of Brooklyn's busiest intersections 3) Amelia Earhart and Howard Hughes once used this airport to take off and land, but now it's hidden by trees 4) Brooklyn's biggest man, woman and child stand in stone at this solemn downtown memorial 5) The strongest place in Brooklyn, also home to some of the borough's finest 19th century residential architecture 6) It's the largest one of its kind in America - and one of the most expensive to use - named after an obscure explorer 7) A beautiful Gothic-style National Historic Landmark that's home to some of New York's most notable people - including the artist started the whole graffiti thing, a famous piano maker, and a notorious political boss 8) At the end of the day, stare at the stars (if any shine through) and the planes landing at JFK airport over the water from a park at the end of this giant east Brooklyn housing development (if it's winter, you'll think you're in Moscow)
